ALIAS: Everything must GO!

We were obsessed with Alias back in the day. We don't like coffee ice cream, either.

Now, this falls into our laps.

ABC Studios is auctioning off ALIAS wardrobe pieces.

http://www.vipfanauctions.com/Alias_Auction.html

Can they auction off a Rambaldi box too?

Want to know why? Because they booked Russell Brand as the host.

Who? you ask? The guy from Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Oh, and he's known for being a sex maniac.

....interesting.

This already smells like ishk from a mile away.

SYTYCD Shocker

Who saw that one coming last night? Wow. When both Twitch & Will were up for elimination, my insides got all gooey, and not in a butterfly way, more like, oh I'm going to hurl on the side of the couch kind of way.

Will is gone. You know the kid will get a TON of work. It's just upsetting to see him go. Comfort, so long. Will, we hardly knew ya.

Debbie Allen must be happy, though. Homegirl can use him whenever she pleases.

Sidenote. LL Cool J. You barely licked your lips last night. WTF.

Lifetime schedules Golden Girls marathon

Good job, Lifetime! xo Seema

LIFETIME Television Pays Tribute to Golden Girl Estelle Getty With 10 Special Episodes of the Popular Series, Friday, July 25 from 12-5pm (ET/PT)

Fans Can Vote at myLifetime.com for Favorite 'Sophia' Episode

NEW YORK, July 22 -- This Friday, July 25, Lifetime Television will pay a special on-air and online tribute to Estelle Getty, who played the cantankerous "Sophia Petrillo" on the iconic comedy series "The Golden Girls." Ms. Getty passed away today at her home in Los Angeles at the age of 84.

From 12-5PM (ET/PT), Lifetime will air 10 episodes showcasing "Sophia" in all her blustering, sarcastic splendor, beginning with the show's pilot. The last episode at 4:30PM (ET/PT) will be the #1 favorite "Sophia episode" as decided through a vote of her legion of devoted fans at myLifetime.com.

be sure to go vote!

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

So a few weeks ago I was supposed to go to the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia TV panel, yup the cast was going to be there questions were going to get asked and I was going to make out with Glen Howerton, then it got cancelled. Booo. I was made at the Always Sunny crew, until I saw this, Going Back to Philly. Enjoy.

more of Wendy Vs Omarosa

The beginning of this just showcases how immature Omarosa is.

Thank you for being a friend

Oh, Estelle Getty. Sophia.

You know this day would come, but it hurts my heart to write this entry right now. She and the other Golden Girls had such a prominent presence in my life growing up.

My mom and I used to bond over the show. We'd watch before Empty Nest, and then continue with the tradition on Lifetime, always cracking up at Sophia's wisecracks and loving the strong bond they had with each other. This continued in college, when I'd come home from break and we'd relax on the couch at 1pm and 5pm to watch. Hell, I even tried out Golden Palace.

Having family members who've fallen in their battles with Alzheimer's & Parkinson's, I know the toll these diseases take on someone. You never wish it upon anyone and she had been battling it for a while. However, at the young age of 84 you still hope for more of her wit to come.

Legally Blonde: A New Elle Woods is born

Congratulations, Bailey Hanks! You're the new ELLE WOODS!

Even though it was a bit surprising that adorable youngin' Lauren wasn't in the top 3 or even 2 (WTF!?), Bailey was our choice to win from the first day. The girl screamed Elle, from her copycat Reese face, to that Elle Woods hair.

Hanks begins performances Wednesday at the Palace Theatre, replacing Tony-nominated leading lady Laura Bell Bundy. She already has recorded a song from the show, So Much Better, available at iTunes and Amazon.

Laura Bell Bundy will soon be tryin her hand at music, with a possible Country album in the future.

Weeds news

Our belowed Showtime series Weeds has been renewed for two more seasons.

WEEEE!

Ebert & Roeper: end of an era

Granted, Siskel & Ebert were an era, but At the Movies with Ebert & Roeper still comes with a ton of history.

Ebert has opted out of his contract after seeing how Disney was reimagining his program. This is also after Roeper quit his gig at the Chicago Sun-Times.

the question remains. Will At the Movies or Ebert's new program (he's shopping it around as of now) maintain the thumbs up/thumbs down phrase?

Omarosa vs Wendy Williams

This clip is unreal in how absurd Omarosa is. I love how she fails to mention that she's been pitching a "Bachelorette" featuring Omarosa all over town. Take your head out of Donald's ass and find a real job.

90210: an airdate has been set

September 2nd.
2 hours long.

Yes, a 2 hr season premiere. We're sure the ratings will be pretty big the first night around.

However, one big night of ratings does not a series make. NBC's Knight Rider will find this out pretty soon.

The View: it's all blown over

Shear Genius inspired hair

This new season of Shear Genius on Bravo is apparently inspiring everyone to do their own spin on the showcased hair.

For example, our friend Kristin Pellicane rockin out the curls. Easy, breezy, and sets a mood for the night.

To our favorite Alias, congratulations on your 2nd pregnancy!!

She's 5 months in already!

Life of an American Teenager renewed and other news

ABC Family is on a roll. Life of an American Teenager has been renewed for 13 more episodes to air in early 2009. It might be a wee bit early since it's only on episode 4 this Tuesday, but whatevs.

Wipeout should be adding more episodes to its run soon, as well. However, ABC doesn't want to run the show into the ground, so it might stay a summer staple ala CBS's addictive Big Brother.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians will be coming back for a Season 3. Again, not a surprise as it's E!'s #1 show in 18-34 on Sundays.

That supporting actress nom for Saturday Night Live is a first for the series.

Live on the Scene: The Emmy Nominations

Picture it. Richmond, Va. 1992. My first Emmy nominations viewing. My mom shakes me awake and places some Cinnamon Toast Crunch next to me, as I rub my groggy eyes and hope to hear Home Improvement's name be called in Best Comedy Series.

This went on, minus the Home Improvement part, every year, up to now.

Imagine my surprise/glee when my boss invited me to the Emmy Nominations Announcement this morning. I was on cloud 9, still am actually.

Yes, the announcements began at 5:40am PST, yet I somehow got enough sleep to make it in time.

FYI to any people in North Hollywood, the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at 5300 Lankershim is the only one that opens at 5am. Me and the old man in the corner of the store had a grand old time...until the security at the front of the Television Academy building told me no food or drink was allowed inside the theatre....cut to me chugging the Ice Blended, hoping to gain a buzz, and walking in with Mark & Vicki.

I'm not sure if anyone else had the same impression, but whenever I watch the E! Commentary, or even ET, any entertainment programs, they make it seem as if the nominations are being announced in a separate room from the commentary.

Not so.

Watch with Kristin is going on to the left of me with Jason Kennedy on E!, while a KTLA anchor advises his audience to grab that last cup of coffee because the "60th Annual Primetime Emmy Nominations are about to be announced". We grab a ballot, secretly of course, and sift thru. No Jay Leno? No FNL? Boston Legal AGAIN!?

Neil Patrick Harris & Kristin Chenoweth walk about with VP John Scheffner (great man, very kind) and they begin the announcement. Cheers are heard throughout the room for Mad Men's nom, Sally Field, Raisin in the Sun, Damages, and Gabrielle Byrne. We cheer when Tom Bergeron's nom as Reality Host is announced (WOO). A snicker is heard behind me when Boston Legal's nom for Outstanding Drama Series is announced. The cake is brought out, marking the 60th Anniversary. By 7am, no one had touched it. Neil mentions in an interview "yes, the first thing I think of at 6:40am is cake". Reporters rush the stage trying to get that one great photo of Kristin Chenoweth leaning on the Emmy statue.

Speaking of which, the mystery as to what the Emmy represents. The ball that she is holding above her head represents an atom, aka the Sciences. The wings/bolts represent the Arts. So, The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Who needs the Scooby Gang?

I watch as our TV Idol, Kristin in a smashing green dress, interviews Kristin Chenoweth. Look for me behind them since I made sure to walk back and forth, or look longingly in the distance as if I was searching for someone. They act as if they've been old friends, kissing each other's cheek, beaming at each other. I couldn't hear what they were talking about, but I know Kristin gave Kristin C a gift at the end. How sweet!

My friend Lauren surprises me at the stage with a hug, I'm not realizing that she's the publicist for the Academy. Even though she's had a long couple days involving the ESPYs, she still offers to invite me to any other Emmy events coming up. So, expect scoop, Couch readers!

The one depressing thing? Walking out, realizing it was daytime, and I still had 2 and a half hours to kill before work.

Don't mind me, but I'm going to sip on my tea while my Emmy credential dangles around my neck....and I curse Boston Legal's name.

You can get a full list of the nominees at:
http://cdn.emmys.tv/awards/2008pte/60thpte_nomswin.php

Emmy Noms!

We love today cause for us TV junkies the Emmys were announced, and even better this year J was there! You can start being jealous at any time now. So check back for his thoughts and numerous sitings.

90210 Updates from our spies

Check it out below... All names have been changed to protect the gossipers.

UPDATE!!!! NEWS FLASH!!! SPARKLES LIGHTS!!!

7/15/08

As I was leaving the lot last night I noticed security guards every where and tons of kids all decked out in their finest American Apparel wear and they were standing in small groups and I thought hello late 20 yeard olds pretending to be students at West Bev. They were shooting an outdoor cafeteria scene, sadly no major starts sitings....

Until today at 2:43pm when ******* and I were walking to Office Depot. As we were walking towards the gate we saw a young gentleman wearing a horrible outfit. At first we thought it was a PA until we realized that there was not headset on him, which we all know PA's live and die by those things on set. It gives them a sense of purpose ya know? Anyway he smiled at us and then put his head down in that shy you girls are really cute way. (or he was like I am a star of the upcoming show 90210 and want these girls to stop staring at me. I think it is the first one.) And then he walked into his trailer.

Yup we saw the kid who plays Ethan the tennis jock, most popular boy in school. Someday we will know his actual name because more than likely he will be caught in a drunk driving scandal or something and be all over TMZ. For now though he is Ethan, the kid whose name I am to lazy to really google.

See you at the Peach Pit!

And the hits just keep on coming...like fries at the peach pit or Brandon's side burns.

First off let me say that I am mad at Brandon cause they totally approached him to be on the show and he said no, but he would like to direct. I call bs.

I think ******* and I have found what we in the business call the golden hour. Or ok yea what I call the golden hour.

As we were walking to the new Fed Ex Box we walked by all of the trailers and I was like wow Jessica Walter's trailer and I am excited cause hello that is Lucille Bluth from Arrested Development. Well as we continue to walk who drives by us in a golf cart. Jessica Waters!!!

After we jammed the Fed Ex Box and the guy with one blonde eyebrow tried to unpry it (true story don't ask), we headed back and saw the main girl the "Brenda" character if you will. She is cute but as ******* said: "Her hair color is weird, but I guess since she is supposed to be from what Wyoming then it is good for her character." ******* has great insight. No lie.

Then we saw Ethan again this time in a much better outfit, which makes us sad for him cause obviously boy dresses in the dark.

Two updates in one day, my head is about to explode!

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

God Bless Joss Whedon. He got very inspired by his musical Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode and started a webisode called Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog.

It is hysterical and stars Neil Partick Harris and Nathan Fillion. Harris is Dr. Horrible who is trying to take over the world and Fillion is the Hammer his arch nemesis. Of course though Dr. Horrible is in love with a girl named Penny (Felicia Day).

But of course with this supreme coolness there is a catch. It is a three episode series but you can only watch Act 1 7/15-7/16 and then Act 2 7/17-7/18 and finally Act 3 7/19-7/20.

But of course you can always download it on iTunes. Trust us watch it.

Oh, Chuck.

Project Runway Tonight!

Let it soak in couchers. This is the last season of Project Runway on Bravo, with the same producers, oh and in New York. It may never be the same again.

Amy Poehler to Primetime?

Rumors are swirling that Amy Poehler maybe be leaving SNL for the new NBC Office spinoff, which is not really a spinoff so they say. Right now the only one cast for this show is Azia Ansari from Human Giant.

We would LOVE to see Amy on primetime!! Make this happen NBC.

Katie Holmes Back to the Small Screen

Katie Holmes will always be for us Joey Potter the girl who smiled like she has had a mild stroke, who hates the city of Worcester, MA, and got to hook up with Pacey and wore lipstick and hairspray. Yea only true fans will know that last line.

Anyway. Looks like Katie Holmes will play a non profit attorney on one of our favorite shows Eli Stone.

Whoa Pacey and Joey are both going to be on TV in the fall. Bring back Dawson and his large head!

blast from the past: Golden Girls

FX: Marcia Marcia Marcia

Holy crap.

Read this press release from FX on the TCA tour:
BEVERLY HILLS, July 15, 2008 John Landgraf, the President and General Manager of FX Networks, today made multiple programming and casting announcements about some of FX's critically acclaimed and award-winning series, and announced a new comedy series at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour. They included:

FX will order 19 additional episodes of NIP/TUCK and the series will end its historic run in early 2011. Creator/Executive Producer RYAN MURPHY will see the show through to its end as showrunner. The 2005 Golden Globe winner for best drama series recently finished production on final 8 episodes of its 22-episode fifth season, and those eight episodes will air in early 2009. The additional order will bring the series to 100 episodes for the life of the show. It has been the #1 scripted series in basic cable among adults 18-49 five years in a row, a record which will not be broken any time soon.

FX intends to produce 39 more episodes of IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA in addition to the 13 currently in production. The series' fourth season premieres on Thursday, September 18th at 10 p.m. SUNNY has seen significant ratings growth each of its three seasons. It ranks among the top series downloaded on iTunes and also on Hulu, where it has been #1 among all series for the past week, and it is one of the top-selling TV DVDs for Fox Home Entertainment. ROB McELHENNEY, CHARLIE DAY and GLENN HOWERTON will remain as both stars and executive producers, and KAITLIN OLSON and DANNY DeVITO will stay on as series stars.

Using IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELHIA as a springboard to launch a second comedy series, FX will be ordering 13 episodes of a new original scripted series currently titled TESTEES (working title; see attached release). TESTEES will premiere in October following a new original episode of SUNNY. It was created by KENNY HOTZ, who has written for SOUTH PARK, and he created and ran the series KENNY VS. SPENNY on Comedy Central. TESTEES is a scripted comedy which focuses on two friends in their early 30s who earn their living as medical guinea pigs.

FX and Sony Pictures Television closed a deal with MICHAEL J. FOX for a four-episode arc for the fifth season of RESCUE ME. The 22-epsiode fifth season begins in the spring of 2009 and Fox will appear in the season five opener.

Academy Award winning actress MARCIA GAY HARDEN will be joining new cast members WILLIAM HURT and TIMOTHY OLYPHANT as additions to the cast of DAMAGES for its second season which premieres in January of 2009.

TED DANSON will return to the cast of DAMAGES for several episodes this season in his role as Arthur Frobisher.

THE SHIELD's JAY KARNES will be joining SONS OF ANARCHY for at least six episodes in the series' first season.

DREA de MATTEO, who appears in the SONS OF ANARCHY pilot, will appear in five additional episodes of the first season.

MARCIA GAY HARDEN?! THAT'S AMAZING!

AND 100 episodes of NIP/TUCK!

AND 39 episodes of It's Sunny!

It's basically Christmas, today.

CSI: William Peterson leaving

Doesn't this ruin the show?

William Peterson is leaving CSI. This should definitely hurt ratings, as he's the show's anchor.

He'll be leaving midseason.

SYTYCD BREAKING NEWS! CAST MEMBER EXIT!

Jessica has exited the show because of an injury, bringing back Comfort.

Comfort, who was just voted off the show, will be coming back.

Jessica out, Comfortably in the competition all over again.

Wow.

Heroes: VM returns

If she hadn't, we wouldn't be watching.

Kristen Bell will be back for several episodes of Heroes this fall, beginning with the September premiere (you know, the one following the "red carpet special").

She brought much-needed energy to the show! or should we say...electricity.

Brooke Knows Best

BLOWS as in boring and can't believe anyone would produce this scripted crap.

Happy Monday!

Bikini or Bust: Ashley Paige

Did you know that even those designers who appear on The Hills are broke?

That's what's happening with Ashley Paige as her new TLC premiered on Friday.

Verdict: watchable, with a possible case of the addictives.

Her helpful mom's adorable. Juan is one of the hardest workers on television, and Ashley can cry at the drop of a dime.

It's shaping up to be a fashion divalicious summer indeed.

The Mole

The Mole returns tonight, with a recap special at 9pm and then a new episode at 10pm on ABC.

If you haven't caught on, this is the time to do it!

Nicole will go down as one of the best reality characters in a while.

Celebrity Apprentice: Joan Rivers

Will she make it throughout the season before croaking?

75 year old. Yes, 75 year old, not 90, Joan Rivers will be partaking this season in Donald Trump's "fresh" spin on his show, Celebrity Apprentice.

Last year, Trump was flaunting the fact that Joan had signed on, however the timing never worked out. So now, fresh off of Celebrity Family Feud, Joan can work again.

Please just get her on a red carpet instead. Please!

Kath & Kim sneak peek

Mark this as one of our favorite fall shows. Officially.

I just embarassed myself by spitting out my water.

The Bachelorette: Deanna & Jesse

Well, we definitely didn't call her choosing the "aspiring sports agent"/"professional snowboarder" Jesse. Jason's heartbreak broke our OWN hearts. This last decision really proved that Deanna didn't have a clear sense as to who to choose. She wants to have 3 children, yet ultimately can't handle a man who already has one. Seems a bit off, right?

Now comes word that DeAnna and Jesse are launching DeAnnaandJesse.com, a website where they hope to share "family news and precious memories... for years to come."

Among the first "sharings" is a confirmation of the couple's wedding date — May 9, 2009 — as well as a location: The Bahamas, because "that is the place where [we] really fell in love."

DeAnna and Jesse (DeJesse?) are currently traveling, then will spend their "summers in Atlanta, Ga., and their winters... in Breckenridge, Col."

In fall and spring, apparently, they dont' exist.

Scrubs: Meet Monica

Courtney Cox Arquette has signed on for three episodes (so far) on the upcoming ABC season of Scrubs.

Kind of a casting coup, wouldn't you say?

Never seen the show, personally (this is J), but I wouldn't mind watching once she arrives.

Plus, it's good to know she found work after Dirt, which was mediocre at best.

do we really need 2,900 hours of olympics?

Dear NBC,
How are ya? Congratulations on Baby Borrowers. Seriously, never thought it'd work, but it somehow has (unlike Celeb Family Feud, no offense).

We heard that you're planning 2,900 hours of Olympics to air on several networks, including OXYGEN for the first time.

I love the Olympics, especially Summer. Gymnastics, swimming, etc. However, when does too much of a good thing become TOO much?

Isn't this overkill? Oh, and thanks for holding a one-hour red carpet special for HEROES on Sept 22nd. That's not desperate or anything.

I Love Money

If you haven't seen this new show yet, TIVO IT!

It's basically Real World/Road Rules Challenge/Inferno/Veterans/etc on crack.

Pumpkin is insane. Midget Mac...good riddance. The slurring words coming out of his mouth were hilarious, yet trashy. He didn't need to use the c-word whatsoever.

The Entertainer is creepy. Boston is the last person to need Viagra...ever.

Are you watching? If not, you're missing out on one of the funniest shows on television.

Our money's on Heather.

Here's a look at the teams (chosen Dodgeball style, mind you)

Gimme Sugar

So, Logo has this new show where lesbians try to run a new night at a bar. Here bar (congrats Jude), is featured predominantly throughout the show in between catfights, new loves, and lovers' quarrels.

However, wasn't this done before? Didn't Tyler try to open a bar in one of the very few Logo programs? There needs to be more originality in the programming if Logo is to be taken seriously.

That's just my thought.

FNL: 2 off the roster

Yes, Friday Night Lights fans, you read that correctly.

2 cast members have been benched for the upcoming shortened and Direct-TV'ed 3rd season.

Gaius Charles (Smash) and Scott Porter (Jason) have been taken off contract and will only appear on a recurring basis on the critically-acclaimed series (yet, we've never seen an ep).

Since Smash is college-bound, this makes sense. Maybe Porter can do Prom Night 2 now?

One of my favorite songs at the moment:

The cast of BB10 HAS ARRIVED!

Are you ready?

The cast of BB10 has arrived and it couldn't come any sooner. Yes, last season might have been a tiny bust, but there are some crazy lookin people on this roster.

You can watch the cast video here:

You might notice how shiny Julie's chin is from the get-go.

At first glance, Renny is one of our favorites, while you just want to hug 75-year old Jerry.

Dan=already can't stand him.

the Osbournes move to FOX

Wouldn't have this made more sense back about 5 or so years ago?

FOX is developing an Osbournes variety show.

Take that in for a second. A weekly program that will showcase and we quote, the "sibling rivalry between Kelly & Jack", while Ozzy comments on today's pop culture.

Does Ozzy even speak anymore?!

Wipeout!: The Sweeper

Of course, last night's episode of the potato sack sweeper hasn't arrived on youtube but this stuff is hilarious.

Brenda back to 90210?!

Sidenote, yes a sidenote before the story even starts. Michael Ausiello currently has our dream job and his first tidbit was this.

That Shannen Doherty is in talks to reprise her role as Brenda Walsh!!! Of course she wants to see what the story line would be with her (hopefully it is better than the pilot script) and she wants more cash. duh.

We don't know what to do with ourselves. Brenda, Kelly and Donna all back??? They better bring Brandon back and if they are basically getting all of the old cast then we say screw the new people and just do 90210 with the original people. Oh my god how amazing would that be?

This clip is for Joanna:

Neil Patrick Harris, How I Met Your Mother
John Krasinski, The Office
Jack McBrayer, 30 Rock
Tracy Morgan, 30 Rock
Jeremy Piven, Entourage
Fred Willard, Back to You

Michael Urie from Ugly Betty.

Emmys: Lead Actress in Drama Series semi-finalists

Here's the list:

Sally Field, Brothers & Sisters
Mariska Hargitay, Law and Order: SVU
Holly Hunter, Saving Grace
Elisabeth Moss, Mad Men
Mary McDonnell, Battlestar Galactica
Kyra Sedgwick, The Closer

You can find me poppin pills over yet ANOTHER Patricia Arquette nomination. I'm sure she's a sweet woman, but to make it to the semi finals YET AGAIN....

Very happy about Jeanne Tripplehorn and Mary McDonnell. Could you imagine if BSG scored an acting nom? Woof about Holly Hunter.

Arrested Development the MOVIE!

It is like Christmas, our birthday, fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Guy Fawkes Day all rolled into one! Jeffery Tambor basically confirmed to EW.com that they are doing and Arrested Development movie, while doing press for Hellboy 2.

Oh to see the Bluth's on the big screen would be the best. And if you have not seen this show then what the hell is your problem?!

this is a bit bizarre

Watching Kathy Lee Gifford try to interact with everyday people.

The Fringe ad campaign

First off, have you seen the posters? They're all over LA right now. They intrigue us to say the least.

Secondly, have you heard the radio ads? If not, you can go here and listen to them:

Third, there's some speculation that this youtube video is linked to the show. On the official Fringe website, there's a link to this video. Interesting, considering it was added in August of 2007.

Yes, you read that correctly.
