Leading up to the second season of the Emmy-nominated series "Pushing Daisies," ABC is bringing the interactive experience of Ned's bakery, The Pie Hole, to ten major markets across the country. Guests will be able to enjoy free pie and the company of an outgoing restaurant staff, all while experiencing charming dcor from the show's set. Balloons with the show's logo, posters and daisy decals on the floor will be the icing on The Pie Hole.

In addition, "Pushing Daisies" footage will play on plasma televisions on site, and waitresses on whimsically decorated daisy bicycles will direct people to the restaurant prior to the event. Guests will also have the opportunity to receive branded "Pushing Daisies" magnets, pie-cutters and spatulas. Visitors will turn into fans as they fully immerse themselves in the fantasy world of "Pushing Daisies." To top things off, a "Pushing Daisies" microsite will chart the mobile Pie Hole's travels and offer fun send-to-a-friend Daisy messages online at www.PushingDaisiesTour.com.

The CW has come up with a “90210” marketing idea that’s as chilly as the on-set stares between Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth.

To promote its already much-hyped ZIP Code revival, The CW will give away 100,000 ice cream novelties over the Labor Day weekend. The network has hired ice cream trucks to drive around waterfront locations in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago to distribute the tasty treats.

“The trucks will be decked out in ‘90210’ key art, and they’ll be playing the ‘90210’ theme song,” said Rick Haskins, chief of marketing for The CW. He didn’t have specifics on the exact varieties of the frozen confections, but did hint that there would be popsicles and something in the chocolate family.


What sucks is that we don't know the exact locations. I guess Santa Monica? Venice? They should do WEHO, duh!

Stand up to Cancer Single reuniting huge group of singers

Some of the biggest female singers on the planet have gotten together to record vocals for a star-studded single called "Just Stand Up," benefiting the Stand Up to Cancer campaign. The unprecedented gathering features vocals from Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Leona Lewis, LeAnn Rimes and Carrie Underwood. The tune is being produced by the powerhouse duo of Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and Antonio "L.A." Reid, who are working together for the first time in nearly 20 years on the track.

The song will be available for purchase exclusively on iTunes on September 2 and will get its TV premiere on September 5 during the live "Just Stand Up" special, which will air simultaneously and commercial-free on CBS, ABC and NBC. According to a press release announcing the project, the song was conceived by Reid, the chairman of the Island Def Jam Music Group, after a meeting with the women behind the Stand Up to Cancer campaign.

Among the stars confirmed to either appear or answer phones on the TV broadcast so far are: Casey Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Christina Applegate, Lance Armstrong, Abigail Breslin, Josh Brolin, David Cook, Dana Delany, Fran Drescher, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Kirsten Dunst, Elizabeth Edwards, Jon Favreau, America Ferrera, Neil Patrick Harris, Salma Hayek, Scarlett Johansson, Masi Oka, Danica Patrick, Christina Ricci, Robin Roberts, Homer Simpson, Marge Simpson, Meryl Streep, Hilary Swank, Charlize Theron, Goran Visnjic, Forest Whitaker and Reese Witherspoon.
