Wow, last night was a doozy for television. Serena's secret came out, Dan cheated on Serena, The Hills had a YAWN of a finale (does ANYTHING happen on this show anymore?!), The Bachelor chose a has-been actor's daughter, Britney held her own yet again, Kristi Yamaguchi made it a given that she'll win DWTS, and Samantha celebrated turning one. That's a mouthful!
Let's start with The Hills. There's not much to say and it doesn't look like there's much to next season, either. Since this is basically a scripted show, why not let it go on a high note? Aka last season. NOTHING is going on. Audrina might leave. Okay, who cares? Spencer rudely interrupted Heidi at a business meeting in Vegas (ok that was extremely bizarre, yet that was the only exciting thing), and LC....looked on? I found myself fast forwarding to the parts where songs were featured. That's sad.
Kristi Yamaguchi killed it on DWTS. Just hand her the trophy. Wouldn't it be great if they had a charity to benefit by winning as well? I call Jason Taylor and Kristi in the finale. Bye Marisa, it's been nice.
Serena's big secret came out and yet another fantastic episode of GG occurred. Yet again, the writers upped the suspense (I yelped at least twice: when Serena's mom found the disk and the entire 90s concert). The show hit a whole different level of awesome when Lisa Loeb started playing "Stay". I fell in love all over again with Chuck. Case and point:
Enough said. I wish Serena wouldn't have told Dan she cheated on him because now it looks like he will, too. She shot herself in the foot. The scenes with the "non-judgmental breakfast club" rang true because of how much history dripped below the surface. It's insane to know how much has happened to these 4 in less than a year. Plus, ew. Chuck losing his virginity in 6th grade. Yikes.
Michelle Trachtenberg is hitting it out of the park as Heather Locklear successor, Georgina. I loved her face when Vanessa called her out right then and there. She's extremely creepy and has the eyebrow-arching down to a T.
Does next week really have to be the finale?
