Week In Review

Hello Summer!! Yup this weekend is the unofficial start of the summer, which of course means bye bye to some of our favorite shows for awhile. But while we mourn the loss of Grey's, Ugly Betty, The Office, hell even American Idol here are some talking points for you when you are at your barbeques, pool parties, waiting in line for Indiana Jones or hanging out at the beach.

On House we saw the conclusion of the two part season finale, the first was called House's head the second WIlson's Heart. Wilson is fine, but sadly his love Cutthroat Bitch is dead. Did that sound crass didn't mean to be. To recap House was in a bus crash and when he woke up in a strip club he could not remember how he got there, all he knew is that someone was going to die and he had to save them. It was not the bus driver as he initially thought, instead it was Amber. House got drunk at a bar and called WIlson to drive him, Wilson was still working so Amber went to get him, that is why she was on the bus hence in the crash with him. But sadly, even after House went under brain surgery to recover memories they were not able to save Amber. It was truly a heart wrenching moment, and for someone with the name Cutthroat Bitch she sure went out with Grace.

Dancing With the stars crowned its winner. Are you shocked that it was Kirsti Yamaguchi? Yea neither were we. We were shocked however with the American Idol finale. Cook beat Archuletta by 12 million votes. Wow. (YOU CAN TALK MORE ABOUT THE FINALE I DID NOT WATCH IT.)

If we had a nickel for every time that we jumped into a vat of cement to impress someone then we would have...well nothing, cause we use our witty TV banter and knowledge to impress people. Are you impressed?? Anyway that was the main case tonight on Grey's Anatomy along with the last two trial patients for Derek and Meredith. It was a heart wrenching episode (yes we channeled our inner soap opera writing for that one). Alex must let go of Eva who after trying to commit suicide (nice connection with Meredith cleaning up the blood and her Mom's suicide) we find out has a borderline personality disorder and will now be in a psych hospital. We also learn that Alex took care of his Mom hence his connection with Eva. Derek and Meredith get their tumor patients laid, and then sadly in what was a real tear jerker, after of course them saying goodbye,(who doesn't want someone to say to them I am not finished loving you! Shonda can you write the script for our live?!) the boyfriend dies. This pushes Derek over the edge stating that he always lets her down, her meaning Meredith. Rose yea it is over and you know it. They try again with the girlfriend and low and beyhold the treatment works. But let's recap the good stuff: The Cheif moves back in with his wife, Bailey is a Star Wars nerd (reason 176 that we love her), Izzie gets sole control of the Clinic, Izzy and Alex make out in which was really heartbreaking Alex begging her please, Callie and Hahn on the urging of Sloan finally make out, Lexi reads everyone's files and find out that George missed being a resident by one point, now he can retake the test, Christina finally tells off Hahn and in return realizes she needs to be a good teacher to Lexi. Sidenote where are the rest of their interns? But of course the icing on the cake was Meredith and Derek. We knew that they were getting back together but how was the surprise. First off where did Meredith get all of those lanterns and the precise layout for a house? Anyway aside from that Meredith makes the big gesture to make her life extraordinary just like her Mom wanted. They kiss and Derek being the good guy that he is goes to break up with Rose so he can do more than kiss Meredith. Wooo. And that is us rejoicing that Grey's is actually good again!

Next week we give our what to watch this summer preview and of course what we have really been waiting for the Sex and the City movie. Cosmos and Jimmy Choos for all!!
