American Idol: Carly brought it and then some

We're going to start off this blog with a treat. Carly singing Jesus Christ Superstar from last night's Idol.


Did you enjoy? Because we sure did. It got us up off the couch TWICE (yes, we watched it again) and had the perfect mix of soul/rock/emotion for Carly's voice. It was her best performance yet.

Jason Castro. He really needs to go. Go celebrate 420, perform at a Ziggy Marley concert, and let us be. It was awkward.

More awkward, we'd argue, than Brooke starting the song over. Yes, she flubbed, but her starting the song over after only 3 lines of lyric did not rid the fact that her song was pouring with emotion. She did Madonna proud. yes, we said it.

Syesha, sure it was cute, whatevs.

Same with David Archuleta. We actually liked him this week. Hakuna Matata, we're still waiting for him to sing Circle Of Life (c'mon that'd be perfect)

David Cook. the guy keeps surprising us. This was technically beautiful and all he needed was the actual mask from Phantom. mesmerizing.

Who's going home? We pray Jason Castro. The guy's sweet, just not our style.
